ABOUT CALCIFICATION

The medical industry has long known calcification exists.  At the same time, new research is demonstrating that cellular inflammation plays a critical role in many health challenges.  Some scientists have concluded that inflammation and calcification aren’t just random variables as once believed, but rather, calcification appears to be an initiator of the inflammatory cascade.  Controlling the calcification can in turn, control the trigger for inflammation.

Evidence is emerging demonstrating an association between tiny crystal-like formations, known as calcium crystals or Basic Calcium Phosphate (BCP) crystals and the stressful impact they may have on the health of the body including the heart, prostate, kidneys, joints, and other areas. * New science is emerging indicating that BCPs that expand in blood, much like living cells.   Their surface can give out a strong electrical charge, which can make them more likely to interact with body tissues. For these reasons crystals can cause cellular inflammation in certain parts of the body.

A recent study published in the International Journal of Pathophysiology suggested that when the crystals are targeted with treatment, calcification seems to be reversible. **

Why do people get calcium crystal deposits?

People may be familiar with an old-fashioned treat called rock candy, which is a good example of crystal formation.  In that instance, sugar is added to hot water and a stick or string is suspended in the solution.  As the solution cools, the sugar hardens in the form of crystals, which attach to the stick or string, forming the rock candy.

The same premise holds true with other chemicals.  If a chemical is dissolved in water in a laboratory there is a certain concentration at which crystals start to develop. Even in healthy people, certain chemicals may be present in the blood, urine or soft tissues at levels which in other circumstances would be high enough for crystals to form. The reason crystals do not usually occur in body tissues and fluids is that there are other substances, mainly proteins, which prevent them from developing. These are called 'inhibitors'. Other substances can actually increase the likelihood of crystals forming – these are called 'promoters'. This applies to the basic materials needed to make calcium crystals (calcium and pyrophosphate or phosphate). The most likely reason crystals form is because the balance between inhibitor and promoter substances change.  CAL-DETOX helps to keep these inhibitors and promoters in balance.*

Calcium Disodium Ethylenediamine Tetraacetic Acid (EDTA) Suppositories, 1200mg

Calcium Disodium EDTA is a synthetic amino acid that was approved by the FDA in 1953 for the treatment of heavy metal poisoning. Calcium Disodium EDTA acts as a chelating and sequestering agent that binds to certain molecules such as divalent and trivalent cations and forms insoluable complexes that are easily and safely transported from the body. The product removes toxic metals like lead and arsenic which many believe contribute to free radical tissure damage.

Tetracycline, 500 mg

Tetracycline, approved by the FDA in 1953, is a safe and effective broad range antibiotic and an important part of the Cal-Detox regimen.   Tetracycline also attacks and binds divalent or trivalent cations (such as ionized Calcium).

Oral Supplement

A proprietary blend of essential vitamins, amino acids, enzymes, antioxidants and other nutrients that promote healthy cells, tissues and blood vessels*. This superior formula includes antioxidants that work to minimize free radical damage and promote health on the cellular level*.

CAL-DETOX™ Oral Supplement’s unique combination of nutrients provides overall strength and optimum support*.
